General Dental
Check-up and Clean
At Hurstbridge Dental we believe that good oral hygiene is one of the most important aspects of general health. To support our patents with maintaining good oral health, we recommend a detailed check up with a dentist every 6 months along with a comprehensive scaling of the teeth, better known as “Check-up and Clean”. If you have not been to dentist in a while or are a new patient, the dentist will in most cases recommend radiographs (x-rays) of the teeth, which are taken during your appointment. This allows the dentist to get a better picture of the areas that lie underneath the gums. The Check up and clean is accompanied by oral health advice and discussion of a treatment plan if required.
Dental Implants
A dental implant is a small screw shaped unit made from titanium and can be an ideal solution for replacing missing teeth. Dr Sandeep Arora has a keen interest in dental implants which led him to complete a 2-year postgraduate qualification on implants from the University of Melbourne in 2008. Since then, he has continually worked on all aspects of dental implantology including surgically placing implants in the jawbone, allowing you to have all stages of your implant done with us. Sandeep regularly keeps himself up to date in the field of implants by attending continuing education courses.
Orthodontics
Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry in which the position of the teeth and bite are improved using dental braces, plates, headgear and aligners. Orthodontic treatment is used to correct crowded, crooked or bucked teeth. The position of the teeth and jaw is corrected which aesthetically improves the smile, the functionality of the bite as well as often improving the appearence of facial features. There are many options to straighten teeth and at Hurstbridge Dental we offer conventional dental braces as well as Clear Aligners
Clear Braces
Clear braces are a type of orthodontic treatment and provide a great option to straighten teeth for those that are conscious of conventional metal braces. They work using a series of custom-made, very thin clear trays which apply gentle forces to move teeth into the desired position. The trays are removable and taken out to eat food which allows you to continue to eat your desired food with minimal changes in your lifestyle. The removable trays also allow you to maintain healthy teeth through regular cleaning and flossing.
Veneers
Veneers are very thin, carefully crafted tooth-coloured shells that cover the front part of one or more teeth to significantly improve the appearance of your teeth and smile.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
Many people do not have enough space at the rear of their jaw for wisdom teeth to fully erupt and be functional. When there is not enough space for a wisdom tooth to come through, the tooth becomes wedged or “impacted” which may cause problems. The dentist may recommend wisdom teeth removal if there is insufficient room for your teeth to erupt or if you are experiencing symptoms associated with the eruption or impaction of your wisdom teeth.
Dental Crown & Bridge
A dental crown is a snugly fitting tooth shaped cap that is permanently cemented on a tooth. It is used as a long-term solution to restore a tooth’s shape, size, strength and improve its appearance.
Children's Dentistry
When it comes to oral care, the Hurstbridge Dental team knows how to treat and support children of all ages.
Emergency Dental & Toothache
At Hurstbridge Dental, we always make dental emergencies a priority by keeping daily spaces in our appointment books for patients needing help today, or this week.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth Whitening is a simple non-invasive dental treatment used to improve the colour of natural tooth enamel. While there are many teeth whitening products on the market, only a dentist can assess a person’s suitability for whitening treatment and get your teeth to their whitest.
